Contacting The PPOA Security Patrol by Telephone

In the event of a security issue or crime, it is important that the homeowner FIRST contact the Galveston Police Department to make a report:
  • In case of an emergency call 911

  • For all other non-emergency security issues, call the Galveston Police dispatcher at
    (409) 765-3702
After contacting the Galveston Police you may optionally contact the PPOA Security Patrol by telephone:

PPOA Security Patrol Telephone: (832) 728-3760

Some Items To Remember:
  • The hours that our security patrol are available to accept calls from homeowners are limited as we do not have 24/7 deputy coverage.

  • Patrol start times vary and are rotated throughout the week. Most shifts are in the evening hours.

  • If the security patrol  is on duty they will answer the phone. Otherwise your call will go to voice mail.
At your option, leave a voice message which may be returned the following day if the security patrol  needs follow-up or additional information.

After making your report to the Galveston Police you may also choose to send an email describing your security incident to:

Chief Deputy Doug Hudson douglas.hudson@co.galveston.tx.us

Emails copied to the PPOA Website will be posted on the PPOA Security Incident Log
